Mulberry
Street™ Italian Food Center is proudly owned & operated by the
Colasurdo family. It has a long history beginning in March 1973 when
Michael Colasurdo, Sr. opened A & M Meat Market in Jersey City, New
Jersey. Then in October 1974, A & M Meat Market moved to Brick, New
Jersey where its evolution took footing.
Evolving
to A & M Macelleria beginning our Italian offering and then in
April 1985 to Mulberry Street™ Italian Food Center, our evolution has
been built on a belief system of constant and never ending improvement.
Behind our belief system are some core values: “Quality does not cost,
it pays!”; to focus on earning the loyalty of our customers; to provide
the finest quality food at the best possible prices; and our customers
are the reason for our existence. Our customers open up another door
behind our belief system that we try to expand into our service. Among
them is that you are never an interruption to our work, yet the reason
for us being able to work; you are the most important person to us, you
pay our salaries; and you are to be treated as if you are a guest in our
home, because you are! We want to go the extra mile to offer
suggestions and meet your expectations and beyond!
